Recording began in September 2021 and submitted as a project in the Art of the Song Pitch master class. The original tracks were sent to SundownSessions studio for additional production which included electric guitar, drums, and background vocals. Jim's original vocals and B3 Keys part were used, but the remaining mixing and mastering was completed by Sundown. This song was partially remastered by Anna Frick for inclusion on the CD.

Lyrics

Just got back from the VA today
By myself in this
Lonely cafe they call
All Ground Up
They call it All Ground Up

I’m in a crowd of guys
Just like me
The people here, come and go
Fill my cup, please
Fill my cup
I’m all ground up…
For you

Getting sick of those
One-night stands
Loving for no one
That was never ever part of my plan
To get back to you, babe
I’m less than nobody
I’m less than nobody
I’m less than nobody
For you

Did two tours in country
Left my old life behind
I need to find a way,
To get back with
You, Babe
Gotta get some things
Right off my mind
I’m less than nobody
I’m less than nobody
I’m less than nobody
For you

I never thought I would be
Bringing home
Letters for no one
Like the spy who came
In from the cold
Was only doing what I was told
What can I say about these
Secrets that I hold?

I’m less than nobody
I’m less than nobody
I’m less than nobody
I’m less than nobody
To you
